Lakshadweep, India's smallest union territory, comprises 36 exquisite islands. It stands as one of India's most stunning beach destinations. A visit to Lakshadweep is a must in a lifetime, offering the finest waters and resembling the Maldives with its low-lying islands and reefs. The primary language spoken here is Malayalam. The optimal time to visit Lakshadweep is between October and April when the monsoon season is absent.

Regarding network connectivity in Lakshadweep, it's notably poor, with hardly any reliable service. Even hotels claiming to provide WiFi have unreliable connections. Be prepared for a serene vacation without the constant presence of devices.

You can reach Lakshadweep through two means: Airways and Waterways. For air travel, catch a flight from Cochin to Agatti. Alternatively, for water travel, opt for ship services departing from Cochin or the Cordelia Cruise.

1. BANGARAM ISLAND 

This government-owned island features a single resort known as Resort Island. Enjoy a range of watersports like kayaking, snorkeling, and diving. Don't miss the opportunity to visit nearby islands like Thinnakara Island, accessible through a three-hour trip from Bangaram Island.

2. KADMAT ISLAND

3. KAVARATTI ISLAND

To reach Kavaratti Island, take a speed vessel from the eastern jetty in Agatti Island, a journey of approximately 3 hours. Explore the island on a rented bike, unwind on its beaches, and witness mesmerizing sunsets. Noteworthy attractions include a beautiful sunrise and a shipwreck that you absolutely shouldn't miss. Kavaratti offers exceptional diving experiences, often considered the most magnificent in India.

The standout experience in Lakshadweep is diving. Diving in India is affordably priced, and the clarity of water, quality of reefs, marine life, and coral formations are unparalleled anywhere else in the country.

Please note that a permit is essential for traveling to Lakshadweep, which can be obtained through a local contact. However, if you choose Cordelia Cruise or the Samundra Package, you won't require a permit, as you'll spend the nights onboard the cruise and only explore the beaches during the day.
